Kennedy Baptist College has contracted the Australian Transit Group (ATG) to run our private school bus services from 2025. Only families registered on our system are allowed to use these services.
We will not accept new expressions of interest in using the Kennedy Bus services until further notice.
The currently available routes are as follows:
Please ensure your child/children are at the designated pick-up point on time. If the bus arrives early, it will wait until the scheduled departure time.
Boarding and Disembarking at the College
Students will disembark and board the Kennedy Bus Service via the Transperth bus stops situated outside the College Uniform Shop.
The buses will arrive at the College by 8.00am and depart at 3:40pm each day.
Fares & SmartRider Cards
- The fare is $2.50 per trip, payable via SmartRider.
- Please link your child’s SmartRider to the TransportMe Passenger App to manage payments.
- If your child doesn’t have a SmartRider yet, their name will be manually tagged on and fares will be charged to your account.
TransportMe Passenger App Setup
The TransportMe Passenger App allows you to load funds, manage trips, and track the bus in real-time.
Parents linking their child’s SmartRider card will need to:
- Use their child’s Kennedy ID (not email address) as the username
- Click Forgot Password to setup a new password for that student account. This will send a password reset code to the child’s Kennedy mailbox.
Parents do not have to sign up for the Premium subscription.
New Users:

- Open the app and go to ‘Favourite’ → Select Australian Transit Group (not Kennedy Baptist College).
- Go to ‘Home’ → ‘Live Tracking’ → Click🔎Search.
- Select Australian Transit Group (make sure it is not Kennedy), then choose:
- Kennedy Booragoon AM/PM
- Kennedy Fremantle AM/PM
- Kennedy Victoria Park AM/PM

Is this a free application?
Yes, the use of this application does not incur any additional cost. However, parents can subscribe to the Premium service for access to more notifications. Low card balance and bus delays are part of the free service.
Are there any additional charges?
When you top up your child’s SmartRider, you will be charged a fee of 1.75% of the top-up value plus $0.30 per transaction.
Do I still need to top-up at the Beedawong Cafeteria?
No, payments are made digitally in the transportmeTM application
My student has not used Kennedy’s Bus services before, can they use this service?
Yes, but they will need to be placed onto the Kennedy Bus system. Please contact admin@kennedy.wa.edu.au for assistance with this.
