On Friday 15 August, Kennedy Baptist College students gathered at the WA Athletics Stadium for the much-anticipated Interhouse Athletics Carnival. It was a day full of school spirit, healthy competition, and outstanding athletic performances across both track and field events.

Individual Champions
Congratulations to the following students who were crowned Year Group Champions for their outstanding efforts:
- Year 7: Issy Gerhard (Osprey) & Noah Choi (Harrier)
- Year 8: Zakari Hart (Osprey) & Dylan Armstrong (Kestrel)
- Year 9: Maddy Dunn (Osprey) & Henry Zhang (Osprey)
- Year 10: Jessica Ryan (Falcon) & Kade Constantine (Harrier)
- Year 11: Honey Sing (Osprey) & Jet Derecourt (Harrier)
- Year 12: Rachael Starling (Falcon) & Sienna Lilly (Harrier) (tied), and Nate Scott (Kestrel)
It takes great dedication and versatility to be a year group champion as it involves students taking part in and having success across a range of disciplines.
House Competition
Throughout the day, the four houses—Falcon, Harrier, Kestrel, and Osprey—battled it out for valuable points. Every sprint, jump, and throw, as well as the tabloid games that took place at the B carnival contributed to the overall tally.

Congratulations to Osprey, who were crowned 2025 Interhouse Athletics Carnival Champions. Final standings:
- Osprey – 1,711 points
- Falcon – 1,544 points
- Harrier – 1487 points
- Kestrel – 1,123 points

A Memorable Day
Beyond the competition, the carnival was marked by camaraderie and encouragement, with students cheering on their peers and striving for personal bests. Staff, volunteers, and student leaders ensured the smooth running of events, helping to create an enjoyable and memorable day for all involved.

We look forward to seeing our top athletes now move forward to represent the college at the Interschool Athletics Carnival on Friday 19 September.
