Kennedy Baptist College actively reviews its remuneration against the relevant Awards and market conditions. Salaries are set according to the College rates of pay, qualifications and experience.
Salary Packaging
Kennedy Baptist College may offer you the opportunity to salary package some items. Generally, the salary packaged item is paid directly from your before-tax salary to the service provider. Paying the item from your before-tax salary is often referred to as salary sacrifice.
Modern and Well-resourced Campus
Our campus is modern and well-resourced. Set amid stunning natural bushland surrounds, it is located on the southern side of the Murdoch University grounds. We continue to grow and evolve as part of our master plan that includes major upgrades to our facilities and offices.
We are located five minutes from the Farrington Road exit off Kwinana Freeway, with easy, direct access to the Murdoch train station and the Fiona Stanley Hospital complex. It is a short drive to local shops in Bull Creek, Leeming or Kardinya.
Transport and Parking
Parking is available to all staff. Public transport is also made easy, with Transperth bus stops at Kennedy Baptist College from Murdoch and Cockburn Central train stations. Other Transperth buses are available at the Murdoch University bus stop.
College Cafeteria (Beedawong)
Beedawong is Kennedy’s modern cafeteria and dining room. The team provide a variety of discounted healthy meals, snack options and barista made coffee. In the adjacent staff lounge, you will find a self-serve coffee machine and a fruit basket for staff to freely partake.
Research and Study Centre
The Kennedy Research and Study Centre (RASC) is a hive of activity receiving the WASLA School Library of the Year award in 2020. Staff are encouraged to borrow resources and books. There are a variety of areas to read and work from, ranging from desks, to couches and reading pods.
Employee Assistance Program
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides staff and their immediate family members with free access to a counselling service. The service is a confidential service provided by experienced and qualified counsellors to help resolve issues that impact employees and family members’ lives.

English Teacher (0.71 FTE, maternity leave cover)
In line with our mission, we are seeking people who share this calling in their professional lives. It is expected the successful applicant to bring excellent teaching in this subject area.
We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced teacher who is passionate about creating and delivering an engaging program to students. Expertise in English ATAR / Literature will be desirable.
In your application, we would like you to address the ways in which you have created a positive and disciplined learning environment that fosters excellence. Share specific ways you have delivered the English curriculum in an impactful way.
Additionally, we are keen to hear how you embrace teaching within a Christian context.
