2025 is off to a great start. Our first whole-school assembly this morning was an opportunity to welcome our students and celebrate the successes of 2024.
We recognised the academic achievements of our current Year 8 to 12 students and were delighted to welcome back several graduates for the presentation of Outstanding Academic Achievement awards of 2024. Mr Ashby said that these student’s results remind us of the value of hard work, determination, and support.
Mr Ashby also encouraged students with his following words. “Kennedy is a place where excellence is nurtured, not only in results but also in character. Too often we hear of people accomplishing outstanding achievements but their character is greatly lacking. We don’t want that to be the case here at Kennedy. To make the most of the opportunities available, I encourage every student to commit fully to their studies, embrace challenges, and aim for personal best in every subject and activity.”
Other highlights from this Awards Assembly included the presentation of Leadership Blazers to our Year 12 Student Executive Leaders, and we finished off with a Bible reading and an encouraging worship item performed by our staff worship band.
Let’s make 2025 a year to remember— a year where we achieve remarkable outcomes while growing together as a community.
