Congratulations Class of 2024

At Kennedy Baptist College, our dedication to helping our students fulfil their academic potential sits alongside our desire to give them each the tools and care that they need for life. This intent is reflected in our dedication of Deputy Principal roles to both Curriculum and Pastoral Care.

Today, we look back on the Curriculum results of the graduating Class of 2024 and the evidence of the College’s high standards of education, while knowing that the values we have imparted will help keep them on the pathway to success.

The highest ATAR achieved out of this graduating cohort was 99.45 while students completing ATAR subjects reached an impressive median ATAR of 85.1. This is well above the ATAR that most Australian universities require for entrance, with many universities accepting students with a predicted ATAR between 70 and 80.

By also allowing our graduates to complete pathways that include Curtin University’s UniReady program, we enable our students to continue learning at their own pace after Secondary School. Indeed, 78% of our students were offered places in their preferred tertiary course, whether through a full ATAR pathway or a university preparation course.

In 2024, as in previous years at Kennedy, there were some students who were regarded as some of the highest achieving graduates in the state. To these students go Subject Exhibition Awards for attaining the highest WACE examination mark in the state for a subject and Certificates of Excellence for being in the top 0.5% of the state for their subject.

Congratulations to Ally Kerrisk for being awarded the Subject Exhibition Award for Psychology, as well as the following students for earning Certificates of Excellence:

  • Ally Kerrisk (Biology, Psychology)
  • Amy Howard (Business Management and Enterprise)
  • Olivia Broers (Mathematics Applications)
  • Kieron Chapman (Mathematics Applications, Physical Education Studies)

We will have the opportunity to congratulate these students during our first whole-school Assembly for 2025.

This Assembly will also allow us to present to several of our graduates Outstanding Academic Achievements. This achievement recognises the success of students completing ATAR and General courses and is given to graduates who finish with a result that would place them as one of the highest achieving students in the state. An outstanding 18 students were awarded this in 2024, signalling the desire of the College to help our students achieve the best in everything that they do.

Congratulations once again to the Class of 2024. The great results of our graduates are a combination of the efforts of Kennedy staff and the hard work, dedication, and determination of each of you. We are confident that you will go on to make a positive difference in the world and we are excited to see what you will accomplish. We wish you all the best for your future endeavours, knowing that Kennedy Baptist College has helped to ensure that you can conquer tomorrow.
