From the Research and Study Centre

Maker Space is the area put aside in the Research and Study Centre where students and teachers can explore new skills and ideas together – Explore, Inspire, Collaborate

Last year the Maker Space area was expanded with additional storage, table and chairs which have been so beneficial as there is plenty going on.  Mrs Gersbach runs the Wednesday Craft group which have been busy making marbled coasters, jars of coloured sugar scrub and are now moving on to crafts for Easter. On Tuesday lunchtimes Mrs Hanham is showing students basic card making using stamping, punches, and embossing tools.

The Anzac Diorama was placed on hold from last year due to Covid but will be completed this year, in time for Anzac Day, with Mr Burton. Mr Rozells manages the Robotics club which meets Wednesday after school, robots, coding and special projects.

Lastly, a new 3D printer is proving popular with students and we are looking forward to many exciting projects being created.

Check out the photos to see our students engaged in these great maker space activities.
