Over the last several years, we in the Kennedy Baptist College community have been fortunate enough to witness many structural changes that have formed the basis of our state-of-the-art campus. Our Auditorium and Lower Foyer, both hubs of student activity were redeveloped in 2023 and the area is now better equipped to showcase our students’ talents, host performances, and form a meeting place for our community events.
As we look ahead, we are committed to continuously enhancing our facilities to provide an unparalleled educational experience.
Upcoming building projects
Our upcoming building projects are part of our Master Plan, aimed at enhancing our facilities and enriching the learning experience for our students while fostering stronger engagement with our families. Below is key information about the timeline and build:
Stage 1 & 2: Study Centre and Redevelopment of the Carpark
Stage 1: Study Centre (40 Weeks)
Five additional classrooms above English Block 3 and landscaping are planned for completion by Term 4, 2025. The new building will be positioned above Block Three and feature a covered walkway connecting Blocks Two and Three, enhancing student movement between buildings. This will facilitate the removal of our modular buildings currently used for Upper School examinations and provide space for increased parking.
Stage 2: Redevelopment of the carpark (12 Weeks)
We are planning to develop a new car park, a maintenance workshop, and additional landscaping. Our goal is to commence the redevelopment of the car park in 2025. This project aims to improve the overall functionality, safety, and convenience of our parking facilities for students, staff, and visitors. Additionally, the car park redevelopment will address the evolving needs of our expanding campus community.
Stage 3: Additional Office Space
The construction of additional office space above the Health Centre – planned for 2026 – will be designed to accommodate the growing needs of our dynamic educational community. With a focus on efficiency and functionality, these new offices will provide a conducive environment for administrative tasks, meetings, and collaborative work.
Stage 4: Lecture Theatre
As part of our ongoing commitment to providing excellent educational resources and fostering a sense of community at Kennedy Baptist College, we look forward to this purpose-built facility to enhance our campus’s capacity to accommodate large gatherings and facilitate impactful educational experiences. We anticipate its completion in 2028.
