Over the last several years, we in the Kennedy Baptist College community have been fortunate enough to witness many structural changes that have formed the basis of our state-of-the-art campus. As we look ahead, we’re excited to build upon this and continue to elevate our facilities.
Our Master Plan is more than just bricks and mortar – it’s about fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where our students feel empowered to thrive. Here’s an update on what’s coming.
Auditorium and Lower Foyer
Our Auditorium, which is a central hub of student activity, has recently been redeveloped to provide a better experience for all. With a fresh new entrance and a revamped foyer, the space is now better equipped to showcase our students’ talents, host performances, and be a meeting place for our ongoing community events.
The Lower Foyer has already become a favourite of our community, playing host to student breakfasts and giving families a comfortable area to spend time after formal celebrations. Taking place in our 1200 seat Auditorium, our College gatherings now have improved acoustics and a large LED screen to accentuate performances and assemblies.
Additional classrooms
As we prepare for generations of future learners, we’re saying goodbye to the modular buildings that have served as examination spaces for our Upper School students. Planning for the construction of additional, modern classrooms above English Block 3 is well underway and these new additions to our campus are set to open their doors to students in Term 2 2025. These contemporary learning spaces will enhance the classroom experience for all students, providing room to enquire, create, and learn.
Redevelopment of the car park
Our existing car park has served us well, but it’s time for an upgrade! As our College community continues to expand, we’re ensuring that our families and staff have access to a functional and safe parking structure. By the end of 2025, you can expect additional parking spaces, clear signage and convenient access to significantly improve the drop-off and pick-up process for our families and visitors.
Additional office spaces
With our community’s growth in mind, we’re building additional office spaces above the Health Centre in 2026. Efficiency and functionality are at the forefront of this build, providing a conducive environment for administrative tasks, meetings and important collaborative work between departments and teams.
Lecture Theatre
Our purpose-built Lecture Theatre, scheduled for completion in by 2028, will accommodate large gatherings and facilitate impactful educational experiences. It’s all part of our commitment to providing excellent educational resources and fostering a strong sense of community. As we continue to invest into the Murdoch community, we look forward to seeing how these new, dynamic facilities serve our growing area.
There’s so much to look forward to at Kenned Baptist College. We invite you to join our College community in coming together and making a meaningful impact on the education and growth of our students.
