Sport at the College finished Term 3 on a high, with our Interschool Athletics team capturing the ACC ‘D’ Division title and earning promotion to the ‘C’ Division for 2026. Term 4 has started similarly, with success across multiple sports. It has been inspiring to see our students representing the college with pride and building a culture of hard work and resilience under pressure.
Basketball: A Clean Sweep for the Girls
Our Specialist Basketball program has had an outstanding term.
The Year 7 girls team claimed the winning title at the ACC Year 7 Super Series at Willetton Stadium, playing undefeated across two days of competition.

Following that, our Year 9 and 10 girls team obtained the prestigious Elite Basketball Competition title at Warwick Stadium, defeating John Septimus Roe 30–21 in the Grand Final.

The Year 10 girls continued the winning streak by triumphing in the All Saints Classic at Willetton, again playing undefeated all day.
While the boys’ teams narrowly missed out in their finals, we had some standout performances, including Max Jones and James Prue earning a spot on the Elite Basketball All-Star teams after a series of strong displays of talent. These results mark a fantastic end to the year on the courts and reflect the dedication of players and coaches alike.
Specialist Cricket
Cricket has also been busy this term, with Year 9s concluding a camp in Rockingham and the Year 8s preparing for their upcoming camp in Narrogin. Our Year 10 team has begun Term 4 strongly, recording wins over Tranby College—where Flynn Lewis smashed 84 runs off just 51 balls—Kent Street, with Isaac Gerhard top-scoring on 27, and John Forrest, where Divyendu Kataragadda finished unbeaten on 51. We look forward to their remaining fixtures against Harrisdale Senior High School and Belridge Secondary College.
Bibra Lake 6km Event
In Week 3, the HPE department hosted an excellent 6km race around Bibra Lake in conjunction with our Sport and Fitness elective course. After weeks of preparation and practice runs, many students achieved personal bests on the day. Arya Harish was the boys’ winner with a time of 24:30, and Lylah Wallace took out the girls’ title in 28:22.
AFL Success
Congratulations to Max Jones, who was selected to represent the Fremantle Dockers Next Generation Academy (U16), and Callum Sharland, who earned a place in the WAFL All-Stars team (U16).

Triathlon and Aquathlon Achievements
Congratulations also go to our Year 8 team of Kyan Whyte, Dylan Armstrong, and Harlan Jahn, who claimed silver at the SSWA Triathlon Championships, and Tate Jahn (Year 9), who secured bronze in the State Aquathlon selection race.

As we wrap up Term 4, we celebrate not only the victories but also the effort, teamwork, and resilience shown by our students across all sports.
These achievements are a testament to their dedication and the support of our coaches, staff and parents. We look forward to building on this momentum in the coming year and continuing to foster a strong sporting culture at the college.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this term such a success – here’s to an even bigger and better year in 2026!
